I find this really hard to right, ever since I was young I followed you everywhere, even to the point of talking mum and dad to move down to Suffolk.i adored you are my big brother.you was fun an entertainer you loved the attention and I loved how people swayed towards you.you was never shy not like me lol.we had a fantastic relationship only argued about 3 times in our life.we had a great upbringing with amazing parents.when Lauren was born you adored her,you was fantastic with Lauren she loves you so much.we had so much fun on holidays, whether it was spain,Florida or Amsterdam, you and Paul with those bloody waffles. You were very tough as my boss why we did argue once and poor Kirsty heard it.but I would have never changed you for anything.i miss you so much, and I know you know I loved you deeply, mum and dad will look after you now.rest peacefully bro.i miss and love you so much. xxx

Eulogy 19th November 2018,

As like everyone here today I cannot believe Richard has passed, he was the most extraordinary person I have ever known, not only was he my dearest friend he was like a brother, my parents also looked on him as one of theirs, I've known Richard for the best part of 28 years, along with Jack & June whom are both departed, Kristina & Lauren, Richard loved his family and friends including myself.

Like everyone here we all have memories of Richard, mainly good and hilarious, and myself and Richard not being any different, Richard and I went through some bad times together, and mainly good times, and the good times far outweigh the bad times. Richard always strived too look after others, myself and my parents included.

I know that everything I am saying will resonate with everyone in this room, and those whom are thinking of Richard today, that can't be with us for whatever reason.

Well Rich (I know you will hate all this attention) it's time for me to go, we all must celebrate Richards life whilst he takes his final journey to see his mum and dad, I like everyone else will miss you terribly, the thing I will take with me is celebrating your amazing friendship and life, good bye my precious friend.

I can't accept you're not here. You ARE here - all around us, all the time. Your smile would light up anywhere and your cheeky-chappy ways made everyone laugh? I have so many happy memories of you - our crazy weekly trips to Tesco where we'd play hide n seek in the aisles, then forget we had gone in your little red 2 seater car and buy far too much. Then you'd delight in packing shopping in all around me so I couldn't move. The way you'd hide in the dark in my bathroom when I took willow out for her late night walk only to jump out at me when I got back. Your Monday morning msg when you were on a day off saying "bacon's on for a sarnie before you head off to work", the day I dropped you off at the station looking fabulous, ready for your award ceremony which of course you won.... I was so proud of you, and how we put on Facebook that you were going to the apprentice auditions and people wished you luck... so funny! The evenings we'd spend in the clubhouse, the names of our 2 person quiz team often won the bubbly, but they daren't read them out as they were too naughty, but side splittingly funny. The night of the helium balloons! You were so cheeky sweetie! The hilarious videos and pics which I'll treasure forever. I'm so sorry I couldn't take Moo moo and My my. We know they were fine when we were there but we didn't dare leave them alone together as moo moo and willow would occasionally have a spat over a ball. I’ve heard they are happy together in their new forever home and are well loved and happy. Hopefully we'll be able to see them. You were passionate about your job and those you worked with. I enjoyed our chats about what you had planned and how you spent 3 months in Harlow bringing the store round. You meant so much to so many people. We will never understand why you were taken from us on your 50th birthday. Your passing will leave a massive void in all our lives. I may have only known you for the last 2 years but I am honoured to have had you as my best friend, and love you like a brother. Reunited now with your mum. I miss you so very much. My thoughts are with Kristina and Lauren too. Sleep well my lovely Richard and, as you always said when we said goodnight in the evenings.... "night night sleep tight, luv ya, mwah mwah" xxxxx

We met in the late 80's when you lived in Whitwick and I was a lorry driver delivering to British Gas where you worked in Leicester. We hit it off straight away and I was thrilled when you said you would be my boyfriend - we even had our own cheesy song, "Never gonna give you up", by Rick Astley, how many times did we sing it to each other? You were the funniest, kindest and most gorgeous man I had ever met. You kept reminding me about how funny you thought it was that your sister, Kristina thought we were just good friends - it still makes me smile even now as I write this. Whenever you walked into a room, you always lit the place up with your smile and wonderful laugh. I still can't believe I will never see you again, but always remember that I will never forget you. Love always, Darren xx
