Philip was a wonderful, kind and generous man - a true Gentleman - and a pleasure to work for back in the 1960's/70's. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. My sincere condolences go to the family. R.I.P. Philip.

Philip was a witty and delightful neighbour and friend. He was a contemporary of my parents Tom and Joan Mounce and he and Vera were founding members of 'Blackroot Road Village' and co-invented ( with their neighbours , including Winnie Witt, my said parents, Dorothy and Richard Graham, and Terry and Pat Dolling the 'Blackroot Rd Gin and Tonic' . When he left Sutton, we all missed him dearly. He and Vera were a truly delightful couple. We loved him.
