In loving memory of Robert Edgar Charman who sadly passed away on 22nd October 2018, aged 78.
Robert is survived by his wife Brenda, children Tony and Suw, granddaughter Melissa, granddaughter's mother Sarah, and brothers Nigel and Geoff and their wives Margaret and Jill.
Robert was a deeply curious person who found everything fascinating, from the weather to quantum physics. He loved keeping abreast of the latests scientific discoveries, particularly in the fields of astronomy and cosmology.
As well as his passion for science, Robert had a passion for science fiction and particularly enjoyed reading Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams, although he would read anything he could get his hands on.
He was an avid motorsports fan, participating in car rallies in his youth, and watching everything from hill climbs to Formula 1 once his racing days were over.
When he retired, he began going to an art club, which he enjoyed immensely. He particularly liked painting birds, including a fabulous painting of a duck, as well as ones of a peacock and another of a seagull.
Robert had a quick and easy sense of humour, and was always ready with a pun or joke. He will be deeply missed by his family and everyone who knew him.
