A poem from Pee Wee
Born 1958, a boy like no other.
To a household where 6 would call him their brother.
A house full of Kidds full of giggles and glee,
Just remember when in bed "don't roll into the pee" .
Now George is all grown and takes Vonnie for his wife
And for 38 years be the love of her life,
and from that love the Kidd numbers did rise,
Boys 1 & 2 planned, the third, a surprise.
A Coalminer by trade but a professional jokester
"Turn than frown upside down! Or I'll tickle yer oxster!"
Coal mining was tough, strikes, cave ins, hard graft,
But that never deterred him from just being daft.
On early mornings, you would hear his loud song
It didn't much matter that the lyrics were wrong.
With wellies and cane and his trademark hat,
Out walking the dogs and sometimes the cat.
To finish I'll leave you with Georges advice
Of which he had many but just this one will suffice
When you return home today, don't be sad or dreary,
"Get the fire on hen and make it look cheerie."
