We were shocked and sad to hear the news that Steve had passed away. We feel very lucky to have got to know Steve really well over the last 3 years, such a super guy. So glad that we saw Steve and Val when over in the UK in September . It was good to see Val on our last trip in October . Rest in Peace Steve we know he will be watching over Val and will always be with her. x

Steve was one of the nicest, most straightforward, gentle, humorous, loyal and caring of people, and he will be missed, very badly, by all of us who were lucky enough to know him. Valerie - take any comfort you can from knowing how many people will be so very affected and please, please pass my heartfelt condolences to the rest of his family.

I knew Steve from working with him at Saxham nr Bury St Edmunds way back in the nineties, he was a real joker with a wicked & cheeky sense of humour but above all one lovely man who i am proud to have known , i am sure he will be sadly missed by all his family & friends but especially his wife Valerie who i have only known since becoming a friend on Facebook who put the sparkle back into Steves life. R.I.P big man

Known Steve since 97 when I joined the team at Mendlesham. Lots of happy memories at work and play. He had a passion for old land rovers which I shared. Always a true gent and ready to help anybody. So sad he didn't get the opportunity to enjoy more well deserved retirement. Our deepest sympathies go out to Val and family.
