Although we didn’t speak much anymore I still thought about you every day. You taught me how to ride a bike, how to make a decent cup of tea and how to stand up for myself in the playground. You walked me to school the first day in year 8 because I was scared going to a new school where I didn’t know anybody and you embarrassed me showing up to pick me up from school in year 6 with half a shaved head because your electric razor ran out of charge half way through. You used to sneak me up a choc ice when I’d been naughty and mum said I couldn’t have any pudding. I will always remember you smiling and laughing and I don’t think I’ll ever understand that you’re not here any more. I love you dad x
