Ronald Ernest Burton, age 85, passed away peacefully in Southend University Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Southwark, London and later moved to Canvey Island. Ronald was surrounded by a loving family throughout his life and was the 2nd oldest of 3 brothers and 2 sisters. On March 1st, 1986, he married Monina and later having their daughter, Melanie.

Ronald worked hard throughout his life to provide for his family whether in the Army, on the Trains but most of his life, he was a bus driver where he would later establish the nickname “Rocket Ron” for his punctuality in whatever depot he worked from and had many firm friendships with work colleagues and passengers alike. Some of Ronald’s favourite past times included Gardening, Model Making and he was also a talented artist. He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Monina; And only child Melanie.

Funeral will take place on Monday 8th October 2018 at 11am. Our Lady of Canvey Church then Burial will follow at Willows Cemetery, Canvey Island.
