John Pallister (6 Dec 1935 - 18 Jan 2015)

In loving memory of the late John Pallister 79 who sadly left us on 18th January 2015 with his wife and daughter by his side.
John was born 6th December 1935 in Nottingham to Frederick & Marjorie Pallister. The eldest of four children.
He attended school in Nottingham. On leaving school he went to work for Raleigh Industries, where he met his future wife Sue. They married on the 7th September 1963. He was a proud father of two children, Shaun and Sarah.
In 1978 he changed his career and became the Subpostmaster of Pinxton Post office where he remained until retirement in November 2002. He was a valued member of the community of Pinxton, serving on the Parish Council and also president of the SNAP club for several years. On retirement he moved to Jacksdale with his wife and daughter.
He enjoyed spending time with his family. His interests included classic motor bikes, gardening and walking his dog Jazz.
