In loving memory of Raj Kumari Verma who sadly passed away on 19th September 2018.
Mum was born in India and came to the UK and worked hard to provide everything for her family. She had a great memory and although not well schooled could hold numbers and facts in her head correcting family members with degrees!
From humble beginnings she built up a large lace business with other asian women who welcomed the idea of working at home whilst caring for their families. She was loved by all nationalities and religions!
She bought up her children and then looked after the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Always there and always in service to them.
Our beautiful, brave and wonderful mum who was our strength in every way. Mum always took care of others before herself. We shall miss you so much but we have the memories forever.
Thank you for being the best wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother we could have ever have been blessed with.
We shall always love you. Rest in peace and look down upon us all with your guiding light and wonderful smile.

I am sorry to hear the departure of Aunty Verma.
It's a sad day when one's parent passes away, as there is nothing in this world that can ever replace them.
But life has to go on, so think of all the good Raj Kumari has done in this world and be proud of that.

I have know Raj Autie since childhood. My own mother work with Raj Auntie doing lace work. Raj Ji was indeed a very kind and loving person - always greeted everyone with a smile. She was one of the very first Asian business woman, ahead of her time, and helped countless other women with employment that they could undertake and take care of their children and families atthe sametime.
May her soul rest in eternal peace and God give her family the strength to deal with their precious loss.
