Del,

I still remember the first time that I visited you and Pam at your lovely house; I was not driving then, so came round on my pushbike.
The first time that we met, I instantly felt really welcomed, you instantly calmed my nerves. In fact, you always made us feel really welcomed every time we met up.
Although we only met just over eight years ago, I feel like I have known you a lot longer; you always took the time to ask how my work and driving was progressing.
Of course, the conversations changed over the period of time, but sadly one that we will certainly miss you for is the preparations of my wedding to your beautiful niece Lyn.

I am still coming to terms that you are no longer here, you will be sadly missed.
RIP Del

Dale

RIP Dear brother-in-law, will be truly missed but never forgotten. I can remember as a child when we went to Wembley stadium to watch Enfield Town VS Dagenham and Enfield Town won 14-0. After the game it took over an hour to find the car, as the car park was completely full. It was a good day, will never forget it.

Del, we know how much you will be sadly missed by your family and friends.
We really enjoyed our visits to Hopton when we popped in to see you and Pam. You always welcomed us with warmth and friendliness, and we are sorry that our visits were not more frequent. Your illness and passing came as a great shock to us, but we will savour the happy memories we have of you.
RIP Del

I still can't believe you're no longer here and expect you to walk through the front door at any time. I love you so much and I know the pain and heartache will subside with time, but I will still have all the wonderful memories with me for ever. Nobody could have had a better father, granddad or friend and I know they will all cherish your memory for ever. Rest in peace my love. Your forever devoted wife, Pam. xxx

Dad,
You do not realize how much I am going to miss you. You allowed me to live my life without any interference but you were always there in the background offering me support and advice when ever i needed.
I feel like my "shadow has left me" . I love you so much and hope that I can try and be at least half the man you were and do you proud in looking after the family now. xxx

Over the last 36 years we couldn't have had a better friend and neighbour. Too many highs (and a few lows) to list here, but one that always sticks in my mind is when Ian was a baby , so must have been about 29 years ago and we had just got a 4 berth towing caravan. We all decided to go to Hopton caravan site, named the "Ponderosa" at that time.
You Pam and Brian came down for the weekend and stayed in our awning on camp beds. That night was the most awful storm. It poured of rain and a gale blew, we thought the trees around were going to blow down, so we were quite surprised when we opened the caravan door the next morning to see you all still there.
We will miss your e- mails and your worldly knowledge, we always said " we'll ask Del" if we were not sure of something. And you always seemed to know the right answer.
RIP Del you will be so missed, love Colleen and Dennis x
