Jane,Helen and Jimmy
Your husband, father and most importantly my friend john.Taught me how to make a do,give it while its hot and allways be prepaired for winter.never has there been a more unlikely expat partenership than john and colin,i've spent fifteen years building a life in france.and without the timely interventions by john,i do not think i would be here today continuing to enjoy french living.jhon had a knack for knowing when you needed help even if you didn't realise it yourself.he would appear in his little red car with a pocket full off tools and a head full off solutions.and in the downtime he shared with me his appreciation of french pastries and a good brew, and also his concerns, worries aspirations for his family.because at the end of the day the common ground between us was that of two fathers/husbands and he was so proud off you all.
so guard those ashes well because if the day comes, god may requisition them and sprinkle a little bit on the newborn.because human kindness is rare and john had it in abundance.
john emmott my friend,a man who gave life some pastie.gone but never forgotten.
