David Charles Clapham (20 Jun 1935 - 26 Aug 2018)

In loving memory of David Charles Clapham who sadly passed away on 26th August 2018
David was born on 20th June 1935.
He attended Brewood school on a scholarship.
He married Patricia McCullough in 1965, and had two children Katherine in 1967 and Andrew in 1969.
He worked for Smith and Nephew ltd as a sales representative for most of his life, and is fondly remembered by work colleagues for his support and abilities.
His love of cricket is well known and after being called up once for county cricket, played for Moseley Ashfield Cricket Club. On retiring from playing became their coach, looking after the under 15s.
He looked after his wife Patricia during her arthritis and battle with cancer and sadly she died in 2003.
He met his companion of later years Margaret Lee in 2006 and supported her as Alzheimer's progressed.
Unfortunately he had lung cancer which eventually lead to a brain tumour and after struggling for most of the year he died in Good Hope hospital shortly before midnight on the 26th August 2018 (the death was officially pronounced on the 27th so you will see different dates).
He will be missed greatly by his family.
