Amazing father to my oldest friend. Heartbreaking to see him go through the rest of his life without his Dad. However I’m sure Paul will continue to be proud even now he’s at peace and will be in many peoples thoughts often.

Dad was an amazing father, thinking about him everyday. Such a caring and well loved man by everyone I met at the wake. I hope this money helps the charity and people who need help in the future.

Paul, you were a boss, and friend and an amazing man. So cruelty taken from the retirement you’d looked forward to for several years - even having a countdown on your screen for the 3 years of work!!
You’ll be so very missed. Love Heidi & Martin

I have known Paul since 1984 having worked alongside him. Paul was a unique character who put everybody that he met at ease. He always had a smile on his face, and made you feel comfortable being in his presence. Paul had the upmost integrity. MESU developed under his leadership to do everything possible to put the patient first. He worked with his staff, leading by example. I believe that his mother (having worked as a nurse) helped shape his ethos of patient-first.

Paul always took the time to understand those who worked for him. By doing so he demonstrated the greatest of compassion and empathy. He was rewarded with a loyal workforce who returned the honour in spades. I for one am proud to say that I knew him.

He will be sadly missed by all of his MESU colleagues, all of whom will never forget his wise leadership - he will always live on in their memories.

Our deepest sincere condolences to all of his family, friends, and colleagues.

Rest In Peace Paul x x x x
