In loving memory of Nell Crescentia Lee who sadly passed away on 3rd August 2018 at the age of 96. Nell was born on the beautiful Caribbean island of Grenada in the town of Gouyave, in the parish of St John, on the 4th October 1921. Nell was the second child of the late Ferdinand James Bernadine and Antoinette (Effie) Bernadine nee Francis. She was proud of her French and Portuguese heritage was important to her and would often talk about her ancestry and her maternal grandmother Mary Sabazan.

Nell had 8 children, the late Eric, Gerald, Gregory and survived by David, Gail, Joy, Denise and Cecil. She had many grand children including Eric Jnr, Josephine, Michael, Kevin, Chris, Candace, Shelana and Marcus. Also, many great grand children. Many nieces and nephews including David, Dawn, Hilary, Lawrence, Ann, Dale and Joy. Nell had step-children Ian, Cheryl and Yvonne.

Nell lived in Trinidad for 17 years and came to England in 1956 where she worked to establish a life for herself. She loved ballroom dancing and would go to the Hammersmith Palais in London, dressed in her finery. She was a keen supporter of English football and was a firm fan of Chelsea FC watching every televised match wearing her football shirt.

She had a love of family and would have family evenings with food, games and music. She loved Christmas which gave the family the opportunity to spend it at Nell's home, with sometimes up to 13 people sleeping all over the household having fun and laughter.

She was always like a cheeky child playing jokes and laughing. She was tactile liking to give hugs to people she knew and giving little tokens to the children of her friends.

The funeral service will be held at English Martyrs Roman Catholic Church in Walworth, London at 11.30 am on the 6th September 2018. Internment will be at Camberwell New Cemetery, London.

Please send flowers to F. A. Albin & Sons, Funeral Directors, 88 Brandon Street, London, SE17 1ND
