It was good to read the obituary. What a life she has lived! Ever since Maggie and I first met at Ockbrook School at the age of ten, Aunty has been in the background of my life too. Over the years I have met her many times and I especially remember her (unsuccessful!) attempt to show me how to make lace with those lovely bobbins. I find it hard to imagine a world without Aunty in it. Bless her!

Alec and I will be attending the funeral and reception.

I wish I had known that Aunty worked in SA before I moved there all those years ago, I'm certain her years and wisdom would of been invaluable to me. God Bless to you and your family Lu and RIP Aunty xxx

Miss Griffin was such a lovely lady. She had a delightful sense of humour, a fierce determination and a great depth of love for her family. I was very fond of her and always looked forward to visiting her. RIP Miss Griffin

  • Auntie was such a lovely lady and I will always remember the fun days we had when she used to take us out for picnics and bird watching when we were young. RIP Auntie we will always remember you.
