In loving memory of Shaun Lee-John Steer, who sadly passed away on 9th August 2018

The family have requested that black is not worn, so please come in either your rugby club top, band tour t-shirt or Crocs and socks! Please do not send flowers, but Gemma has asked for donations to the Princess Alice Hospice in memory of Shaun. Thank you

All are welcome to attend the church service. A private burial will be held immediately after the service, which will be for family only. All are welcome to stay on for light refreshments after the service, which will be held in the Church Hall.

Hi, Gemma. I 've just found out that Shaun passed away & I am so gutted for you & the children. You are very much on my heart & I am thinking of you all. I cannot even begin to imagine how painful it must be. I wish I lived closer to be able to be a friend in a more practical way. Found a pic of us all celebrating New Year when you lived in Colliers Wood. Sending you all lots of love.xx

Simply the best. The whole village will miss you. I’m still having a chortle over the Oddbins sponsored football shirt which you stitched the Threshers logo on. See you at the end of the game. Love to Gemma and family

Remember you

Shaun how could we forget.
I’m trying to let go of the negatives,
like an overwhelming sense of regret.

I’m sorry if my persistence caused you any form of stress,
desperation came over me, and I thought I could find away to get you out of this mess.

I hope you know it came from a loving place and forever you will have a space.
In our hearts. And your village,
you’re every where we turn.

Small mercy’s we know but I’m so grateful that they’re here.
Cos travelling to far (with the rising cost of fuel....well you know what I mean)
You were taken so early and I dunno what you have next.

Maybe you were too special and had a lifetime worth of love and respect.

I feel blessed to have been part of your life. But even more so that you were part of mine.

I cherish all our moments every one,
even when you sent the ball wide.

We all mourn you,
And we hope that you truly knew.
The affect you had on our lives.
And it was just by being you.

A humble family man guiding his two kids unless Gemma disagreed then he’d sit back in his chair he knew when to take the lead.

There were no big gestures.
You were you,
I can’t describe.
Someone we could all learn something from,
if only you knew
......I think you’d shy away with embarrassment.

Your humbleness used to get to me,
you give compliments but refused to receive.

You’d never miss a quiz for CGC and was fully involved with the community.

Hated attention, family separation you had your balance to perfection.
And all your friends felt blessed they were in the selection.

For all these reasons and more you will always be in my thoughts my heart.
You make me a better me.

We shall never forget your mark
