Jayne Marie Scrimshaw (2 Oct 1966 - 5 Aug 2018)
In loving memory of Jayne Marie Scrimshaw who sadly passed away on 5th August 2018
Loving Mum of Ben, Daughter of the late Anne and Gerry Scrimshaw and Sister of Nick and Jon, Aunty of Luke and Dan, sister-in-law of Dionne and Rach. Not to forget all those other people that were so important her, Cousins, Aunties, Uncles, her loyal friend Jo and all of Bens friends who called her Mum x
Born in Hartsholme, Lincoln, Jaynes childhood was full of joy. Enjoying many adventures with her Brothers, Grandparents, Cousins and friends, with regular family holidays to the seaside, Wiltshire, New Forest and Canada. Yes, a family holiday meant all the extended went along too! So many laughs and camping mishaps, too many to tell, but family will recall these well!
By her late teens and into her twenties, Jayne was a young woman having fun, carefree and loving life, she would love a party or a great night out and spending time on shopping trips with her Mum, Anne. They were the best of friends.
Jayne would always offer support and kindness to those around her, helping her Cousin recuperate after a terrible head injury and being there for her other Cousins when they had their own children.
Her work life was varied, from being a carer to working in cake shops, cafe's and canteens.
Briefly married, Jayne was gifted with her son Ben, whom she worshipped. As a Mum, her parents Anne and Gerry got right behind her, with days out and family holidays to Whitby, Filey and Canada, Bens Grandad Gerry becoming his Father figure and his Nan, Anne simply being the amazing person she was.
After the loss of her Mum, Dad Gerry introduced them both to the world of kart racing, with her son Ben as the Driver #34, leading to more adventures, more travels and even more lasting friendships formed.
Sadly, in 2015, her Dad Gerry passed away, bringing Jayne and Ben forever closer, the family home was never empty as three gorgeous Springer Spaniels and all of Bens friends would cause chaos, Jayne often pranking his mates!
She never lost her great sense of humour! x
In later life, even if feeling unwell, Jayne would still always put others first, we shall all miss her dearly.
Jayne had two candles at her bedside, one saying LOVE, the other saying HOPE.
This personifies the person she was and the way in which she will always be remembered xxx
Sleep well Jayne, sleep well Mum xxx
Jaynes service will be held at Lincolns Crematorium on Wednesday 29th August at 11.10 with an opportunity to remember the good times with family and friends straight after.
Feel free to light a candle or leave your own message here...
