Peacefully at home on July 27th following a short illness aged 74 years, William Walton (Bill). The dearly loved husband of Maureen (nee Nolan). A much loved dad of Billy and Carl. A loving father-in-law of Tanya and Rachel, a devoted grandad of Hollie Anne and a loved cousin. Friends please meet on Tuesday August 7th for service in Sunderland Crematorium at 10.00am. All are welcome afterwards to the Smith Arms (DH3 4HE) for refreshments. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if so desired to the Macmillan Nurses. We send all the family our most sincere condolences. Bill was the best, I will miss seeing him in the garden and out with the dog, we used to have a good old chinwag putting the world to rights! RIP bill. Sadly missed.

Incredibly sad to see one of the greats taken too soon. An absolute brilliant man I am greatful to have known my whole life, thank you Bill for welcoming me into your home as I grew up with Carl. I will greatly miss my lovely father in law who I’ve known and loved for 30 year. We’ve shared many special and happy times, with lots of great memories. He was always there when we needed a helping hand, especially with his tool box! Love and miss you now and always xx
