Carole Dawe
(15 Jan 1944 – 10 Jul 2018)

Carole Dawe from Yeovil, Somerset. A devoted mother of Sacha and Daniel and beloved wife to Richard sadly passed away at the age of 74. Carole devoted her life to her family and travelled with her family to many far off places, while following her husband in his career as an airline pilot. She will be remembered in the banking world for her time with Lloyds, UBS and Black Horse Financial Services. In recent years she has not enjoyed good health and devoted her life to her family including six grandchildren, Nia, Shannon, Joe, Anna, Daisy and Toby. She will be sorely missed by all.

Carole, we have known each other for over 50 years. You and I were the new girls at Five Wheels in Freeport before we were raided by Immigration! RIchard and Carole and Mike and I were like family in those wonderful Freeport days. Our lives over the years have followed different paths and we haven't seen each other as often as we should but you were always there - until now. I will miss you dreadfully Carole but you are now at peace and out of pain. Love you always my dear friend. Jackie xxx

Fifty short years ago we first met Carole. I watched as she and Richard walked across the tarmac in Freeport, Grand Bahama Island. They just arrived from London as Richard was a brand new hire in the Control Tower. You could see the wonderment in Carole’s eyes as she walked toward’s the terminal building. She was now in a tropical paradise after leaving a cold and rainy London, December 1968. We extended a welcoming hand and instantaneously became close friends. It was the holiday season, and the first for both of us. We celebrated together and had a leg of lamb dinner, English style, that has yet to be duplicated. Carole often comes to mind when thinking of more cherished memories that have reached golden status. Godspeed Carole as you continue your timeless journey.

We have known Carole for 37 years. Her life was lived to the full, wherever she was in the world, whether it was in some exotic location or here at home in England. There was never a dull moment when Carole was around and she was also dedicated to her family, especially her grandchildren.

She will be sorely missed by all - RIP.
