In loving memory.

Karen Michelle Thomas was born on 15th October 1958 and sadly passed on 4th July 2018.

She was daughter of Daniel and Gillian Snyder. She traveled round America till she was 16, as her father was in the American Air Force. She went to high schools and one that stays in her thoughts often was John Jay High School as she was part of their pep squad which is similar to a cheerleader.

At 16 she came to England to live. She went to Ancaster High School Lincoln.

Karen had two siblings Kenneth and Melissa.

When mum was 19 she gave birth to Jamie SW Thomas who is now married to Marie and a step father to Kayleigh and Brandon. Living in Lancashire.

2 years later she gave birth to Daniel B Thomas whose now living in Leicester. Engaged to Reena and working in the care sector.

1988 came myself Chantelle M Thomas. Full Time carer for mum and ex student nurse. Living in Lincoln.

My mum divorced Barry after 27 years together.

She was an intelligent lady who gained a degree from Lincolnshire and Humberside University 1996. She also went to Leicester University to try and study her Masters in Social Care. Her degree was in Health and social studies. This made me want me to do my degree and follow in my mum's footsteps in health.

Mum had many jobs but the ones that she enjoyed was a healthcare assistant at Lincoln County Hospital on Shuttleworth ward back in the 2000's. She was also a warden at Leicester University looking after 20 male students who were bording. The final job she enjoyed and often commented about was Leicester Children's home which was based in Mablethorpe looking after children.

She met Stephen Geeson in 2002 and they were together 15 years.

My mum was also an auntie to Aleisha, Rowan and Logan.

My mum loved her animals especially her dogs and horses. She used to ride horses and had many different dogs especially Toto, Bess, Bernard and Bella were her favourite.

Unfortunately, during 2018 she declined in health and unfortunately passed away.

She was a fantastic, caring mother, daughter, sister and auntie.

Words that get repeated often to remember my mum from other individuals are caring, considerate, willing to help others before herself.

My mum will be sadly missed and remembered.

Love you mum xx

I am so sorry that i am unable to attend the funeral. :( if it wasn't for Karen, I would have never have got into internet radio, she was a genuinely sincere and caring person and will be sadly missed.

Mum it still seems surreal that you have left but I know you picked the appropriate day for going as you wanted to party with your dad. I will always miss you but you raised strong children that will always be there for one another just like you taught us. I was glad I managed to bring Bella to see you. I was glad to that I spent majority of the 4 July with you and gave you a wash as well as your last offices. I will always remember you telling me you love me. I will always love you back mum and miss you as you have left a whole in my heart but pictures in my memories. These memories are happy times. Love you mum xx
