A generous, kind man whom I looked up to with great respect. He would always put others before himself and help somebody else in any way he could. I will miss you always.

Colin, an incredibly kind, thoughtful and generous friend. As well as our wonderful memories of the times we spent in his excellent company, our thoughts are with Janice and family members at this very difficult time.

In loving memory of Colin, our dear departed friend and colleague. Our deepest condolences to Janice and Family.

I first met Colin in 1985 when we both joined the Onassis Group in London and promptly spent a few months at the then Head Office in Monte Carlo where I previously worked some 9 years earlier. The intention was to set up "shop" in London at Nash House, Mayfair where key Departments (Chartering, Operations and Insurance/Legal) were to be transferred.

After a brief period at Nash House, Colin quickly became a very well deserved General Manager as well as managing the Chartering Dept. a not insignificant undertaking and which he held until his retirement some 10 years later.

I recall Colin's fastidious attention to detail, his thoughtfulness, guidance, support, loyalty and one who would always take full responsibility for the occasional mishaps by colleagues. Very much a man who led from the front and a salutary lesson to everyone.

I will miss Colin's wry sense of humour and, with much affection, his lasting comradeship both as a colleague and a true friend. A very special guy indeed

I first met Colin Peerless who was the General & Chartering Manager
at Olympic Agencies (UK) Limited when I joined the company in 1985
and worked under him in the Chartering Department. He was a very
professional person and was well respected, sometimes strict and at all
times fair to everyone and with a great sense of humour and a warm smile.
Also, was always there to listen and to help solve any problems whether
they be personal or business related.

Colin was an active member in the London Greek shipping community
and was well respected by his colleagues.

Farewell Colin you will be missed by your family and friends,
“Bon voyage” as we Greeks say, It is an honour to have known you.

Dear Janice, may the love of your family comfort you in the days ahead.

In memory of a very kind, humorous and courteous friend, who we will miss tremendously. Ian so enjoyed having someone who shared his passion for trains, both large and small and Helen appreciated his help and consideration in the days when she worked with Jan and Colin at Practical Maritime Studies. Both of our children remember Colin very fondly - as our daughter said 'Colin was such a lovely man' and that is how we will all remember him. Goodnight Colin, sleep well.

We will remember Colin for the kind thoughtful and humorous friend he was to us and our children. He will be especially missed by Ian as Colin was one of the few people who understood his passion for trains both large and small. As our daughter Claire said A Lovely Man.

Colin was a very kind person and a great General Manager. I will always remember and be forever grateful to Colin as he gave me my first job in shipping in 1985 with Olympic Agencies, which has lasted 33 years! Colin will be truly missed by all.

Colin wasn't only a tutor but also a dear friend and a great mentor. He was a source of encouragement for me to proceed with my ADR studies and signed my documents to join LMAA. Colin was one of the few persons with a distinguished trustworthy personality and a loving character. He always welcomed my phone calls to discuss shipping issues and so was he with when I visited them in their house. Colin will always be in our thoughts and will be greatly missed.
My deep and sincere condolences to Janice and the family, my thoughts will be with you on the celebration day.

I was very sad to hear of Colin’s passing and would like to offer my heartfelt condolences to Janice. Colin was a very great friend to my late husband Derek and myself. Derek greatly enjoyed working with Colin, his company and his sense of humour. He will be greatly missed. Jane Anderson
