In loving memory of Ronald Segar who sadly passed away on 18th June 2018
My amazing dad met my Mum Mabel the day after they left school aged 14, and all during their lives they lived loved and laughed They had one daughter Carol [Me] and two Grandkids, David and Jennifer, who idolised their Grandad and miss him so much, He worked hard for his family, he seldom had an illness that kept him down, but, he had a health scare of Prostrate Cancer but was found clear of it, He had a large family of 5 brothers 4 sisters, Billy, Ozzie, Lesley, Albert, Arthur, Nell, May, Margaret, Lily, and after marrying May he gained 3 more brothers, Ron (his best friend) Norman, and Ken. He joined the army at 18 and entered the Royal Artillery 19th field regiment. When his National Service ended, he went back to work for Sturlas in Liverpool, He's worked as a driver for Benson Beds, then on contract as an owner-driver when he had his own business, again on contract to Bensons, When that ended he started working for I.M Kay Transport. he's also worked for scrap yards [Lyons &son] and car breakers [Comerfords] and then when we moved to Warrington he started working for Asda in Westbrook where he ended his work career. He loved my mum with all his heart, he idolised my Mum and worried about her constantly, but he knows right now, she's got so much love surrounding her, she will never be alone Dad one of us will always be with her,
You are so missed , and always will be,
We love you so much ,and always will, Rest In Peace Dad,
Mum sends all her love now and always, xxxxxxx

Ron , was not only my Brother in Law, he was my Brother my friend, my co tormentor, we always had a laugh and giggle whenever we got together,Like most friends we had our ups and downs, but we got through them , I came to visit Ron a few times while he was ill in hospital and saw the difference, the change, and when I got the call about Ron I came right away to the hospital to be with May and family, That day is a day I wont forget, too see my sister in so much pain and anguish, But I will be there for my sister as she was there for me, I will miss Ron ,He was my other brother, I will miss our chats our giggles our fun, RIP Pal . Mary will keep an eye out for you , Godbless,

Ron, 22 years ago I was told to go and ask your permission to marry your Daughter Carol ,Yeah she told me to do it, I was nervous, but you were ok about it, you told me too look after her ,and don't let her down. I hope I have done as you asked. I want to thank you for being the best Father In Law anyone could ask for , you have been the best Husband. Father. Grandfather .Father in Law, we could ask for , especially when it comes to 'borrowing tools' I can still hear you ,'' And don't forget where it belongs, '', which I sometimes did,or was that Carol.
Ron the night you went our world shattered, You are the next best thing I have had to a Dad in my life, for 22 yrs you have been that figure, I lost not only my Father In Law that day but also my Dad and my Friend, our worlds shattered, our hearts broke including mine,I will admit I cried at your funeral. I was honoured to be one of your coffin bearers, and we all hoped we wouldn't drop you. I miss you Ron, I miss your banter, your little wisecracks, your odd jokes, Your ''I'm watching you '' bit that you used to do , I will return the tools when I've used them, if I ever borrow any that is, This world is that little bit more empty without you in it, R.I.P Ron, The Family is safe, We will watch May,God Bless,..... Dave
