In loving memory of Pete Luscombe who sadly passed away on 7th June 2018.
Thank you for visiting this page that has been set up for Pete.
Beloved son of the dearly departed Arthur (Pete) Richard Charles and Barbara Ruth Luscombe (nee Fulker), beloved brother of the dearly departed Darren John Luscombe, and beloved brother of Richard Arthur Luscombe.
Just last week we heard the sad news that Pete had sadly passed away unexpectedly. Please feel free to share your thoughts and/or stories of Pete, or any memories that you have of him if you so wish. Pete was 56 years young at the time of his passing.
Born in Uxbridge in 1961, Pete moved with his family to Swindon in 1963. He attended Park South Infants and Primary school and then went to Dorcan comprehensive following this.
Pete was an avid Swindon Town Fan and the first "Away" game that I remember was against Cardiff in 1970, so he had nearly five decades following the Robins. Pete, in later life, was able to combine his love of Swindon Town with his other love, traveling. Each summer he would find out where the town would have their preseason and he would travel all over Europe combining a well deserved holiday with his love of football.
Each year Pete would also travel to New York to visit his brother, where he had adopted the New York Rangers as his favorite ice hockey team. Becoming a fan of the Rangers also opened up Pete's life to making many new friends from around the world. Indeed, wherever he would travel, he would inevitably meet up with fellow "Blueshirts" who were located in various parts of the world. He also traveled all over Europe when the Rangers toured there.
As a testament to Pete's character, he has had the same friends for around 40 years now. They were an important part of Pete's life, and even after his passing his friends continue to do whatever they can for Pete and to support his family in their time of need. Pete would be very proud of the compassion provided by his friends.
Many of you were a part of Pete's life, so if you feel that you want to, please share your memories of Pete.
In lieu of flowers we will be setting up a charitable donation page in Pete's honor for the Asthma Society.
