Very sadly, my wonderful Mum, Kathleen Frith (Cobby) passed away peacefully on Tuesday 5th June 2018 at Pilgrims Hospice in Ashford, aged 76 years.
Mum's positive attitude and approach following her cancer diagnosis was an inspiration to everyone lucky enough to know her, and she continued living her life and doing everything she loved. Mum faced many challenges in her life, but always came out the other side smiling and stronger.
I feel hugely privileged to be her son and to have been right by her side laughing, chatting, playing Scrabble and doing crosswords right up to the end.
I am really keen, as I know Mum would be, for everyone who loved her to have the opportunity to come and celebrate her life with me. The funeral details are below if you're able to attend - Mum would want everyone to wear whatever they would feel comfortable in so please don't feel you need to wear traditional funeral attire.
Funeral service to be held at Charing Crematorium on Wednesday 20th June 2018, at 11.20am, with the funeral reception to follow at The Woolpack Hotel, Tenterden from 1pm.

R.I.P. Cobb, I have many happy memories of you from old times at Bridge Farm and baby-sitting Richard and Michael. Mike is a credit to you and will be well looked after. Sleep Tight.

Cobb was a surrogate mum to us both (because mine is in Canada and Dan's is nuts) and the most generous granny our girls could have asked for. We will miss her and will think of her smile, laugh, generosity and sense of humour especially when making fun of Michael. Thank you Cobb for being a part of our lives, as promised we will take care of Michael from here, you've done a damn good job with him so far!
Cob was my best friends mum, and a 2 nd mum to me, the most beautiful human being I’ve ever met, always smiling, thinking of others, her heart was as big as her personality, she will be truly missed and will always have a place in my heart RIP Ma xxxxx

Your mother was a very special person. Always positive, always smiling. She set an example of bravery and spirit when she suffered and never complained. A joy to meet. A real character who was able to extract donations for the Day Centre when others could not simply because she was who she was. At the moment I am not able to attend. If that is still the situation I will be thinking of her next Wednesday with the fondest of memories. A very special person indeed.
Will miss Cobby, her generosity, great sense of humour and mucky laugh always put a smile on my face. Glad bless you Cobby xx
