Anne Akeroyd (Passed away 13 May 2018)

Anne was my tutor and friend for all three of my years at York. She was ever supportive throughout and we stayed in touch way beyond my leaving. She had the rare talent of making you feel you were a part of the academic community even though you were only passing through. Rest in peace Anne and thank you for everything.

Anne was kind and supportive to generations of students. She will be especially missed in Women's Studies, of which she was a long standing and active member.
