In loving memory of the late Dennis Foster who sadly passed away on 20th December 2014

I see from the picture posted below that this is the Dennis I knew from karate. I was 90% sure it would be but conformation still opens an old wound. I never knew him to say anything nasty about anyone and he was always a good guy to spar with. I read his obit in April but only found his grave today by chance whilst looking or another.

If anyone sees this, please could you let me know if this is the Dennis Foster that used to do karate on a Saturday morning at Heanor town hall? The name, age and town are the same, but you never know. The Dennis I knew had cancer when he stopped training. Thank you.

  • Dennis gave his mum away at her second wedding when she was 81 years old. I never thought I would be organising my mothers wedding. Didn't we look a smart crowd! Love Jean.

Thanks for so many good memories Dennis, particularly our shared first flying experience to the Isle of man back in the 70's, darts (and pies) nights at the Red Lion and who could forget the family 'music' nights a few years back with Jordan, Daniel & Robert - took extemporisation to a whole new level!

Dennis was an amazing, kind and devoted husband. He had patience beyond belief and very rarely got angry. He was Jordan's best mate or Pops as he called him. We miss him so much but he has done so much for us and we will carry on make him proud. I still can't believe he's not here it's the hardest thing I have ever had to face. I love you Dennis with all my heart, I always will xxxxx
