I was Tonys cleaner for many years at toad hall before he moved. Tony loved his little thatched cottage but decided to move after much debate. I still work at toad hall for the new owners, so he is never very far away. When I started to clean at toad hall I could not remember Tonys last name. And as I had two other Tonys in the family it became difficult, and as tony hodges had a black barn near where he lived I decided to call him tony bb. This was my pet name for him for many years, until my son Ricardo became Tonys personal trainer and enquired how he spelt bb as his last name. Tony through his head back and laughed then looked at Ricardo and immediately said. It must mean brilliant bastxxd! Lol . Tony became a dear friend to me over the years and indeed we both shared laughter and sorrow. I have many memories of a great man that was always, fair, honest, funny, professional and kind. My lasting memory of tony will be Christmas time when he loved to spend the time with Robert at his dining room table trying to beat him at scrabble and changing the rules too! the world is not the same without you, yet I know you will be resting in Barbados. Xxx
