Gordon Reginald "Gord" Smith (8 Jan 1939 - 30 Mar 2018)

In loving memory of Gordon Reginald "Gord" Smith who sadly passed away on 30th March 2018

Gordon was a loving man and was always there to offer support and advice or lend a hand to family and anyone who knew him and many times to people we hadn't really got to know yet. His big heartedness was renowned and we are very proud of that fact.

In his early years he was not the fondest of school or being on time at least but always loved working and learning his trade. He rose from the apprenticeship at Whites Shipyard to a multitude of positions leading to living and working in Israel and Vero's, BD Marine and latterly Southern Waters Engineering Depot before a spell working for himself. His passions have always been his family, ice hockey, boxing and most importantly Food!!!

There is a void where he used to be in our lives and we're sad to lose him, however; his health deteriorated dramatically at the latter part of 2017 and his quality of life reduced and we are pleased that he is no longer suffering the pain and reunited with Trixie our mum the love of his life.

Rest in peace Dad/Grandad you are truly missed.
