Janet Wilson (29 Jul 1945 - 25 Mar 2018)

In loving memory of Janet Wilson who sadly passed away on 25th March 2018.

Janet's funeral will take place at Canley Crematorium in Coventry at 12.45. Casual dress is preferred, along with something yellow if desired. Family flowers only please. The family warmly welcome you all to join us at The Millpool on Binley Road/Hipswell Highway after the Crematorium service for refreshments and buffet.

Wife to Keith, Mum to Kerry, Mum in Law to Martin and Nanny to Nicole and Helena, forever in our hearts. A great friend to many, Janet will be sadly missed.

Janet loved to be surrounded by fun and had a very cheeky sense of humour. At home she loved to be in the garden, tending to her flowers and vegetables, enjoying the sunshine and feeding the birds and hedgehogs, even naming some of the more friendly and tame ones who would always come looking for little treats. She loved her weekly meets with very good friends; shopping, having lunch and a bottle of wine usually! Friends whom she had worked with over many years and never lost touch even after retirement. Some fun holidays were also had with these girlfriends.

And of course her family, family was everything. So many happy memories over the years of fun times and holidays, more recently becoming a Nanny to Nicole and Helena, she was always happy to travel by train to come and 'babysit'. Even as the girls got older there was always a bag of treats, pocketmoney and of course a bottle of wine for the grown ups! She loved to spoil us all.

All through her illness, she was so brave, so composed and as always, never wanted a fuss. Even in the last weeks, the staff in the care home that had taken a shine to Janet and experienced her sense of fun, spoke highly of how wonderful, brave and lovely she was.
