In loving memory of Louise Hammersley who sadly passed away on 4th April 2018

Louise loved life and planning what to do next with it. She was never happy unless she had at least two holidays to look forward to and would pack as much into them as possible (and sometimes including me).

Louise was not keen on spending lots of time indoors so she carefully balanced redecorating/remodeling the house with more fun activities such as climbing, cycling, walking, running, skiing and kayaking. I think that the only reason that anything was done to the house was because it needed 'sorting out'!

Louise cared deeply for people and was even willing to give up nice days for friends and family.

I feel tremendously privileged that Louise wanted to live with me, let alone marry me. I will never forget her smile, especially the cheeky one that she used when laughing at me.

Please share your memories of her and remember the good things that came from being her friend.

I have added few pictures from her life here and in this link - please click here.

For my cousin Louise. In times like these you realise your family and friends mean everything. It was heartwarming to see everyone yesterday who came to say goodbye. Louise quite clearly touched the lives of so many people and lived the life she loved. We could all learn something from her.

All our love to Charles, Auntie Jane, Uncle Neil, Craig and Naomi

Gillian and Aidan xxx

Shared that special experience with the seal on the kayaks with Louise. Share her love of outdoor adventure too. Will think of her when I’m climbing, kayaking or out on the hills, and particularly whenever I see seals out on the water.

Louise and I worked in the same team. She clearly had a massive impact on all those that she came into contact with. This is an incredibly tough time as you mourn such a wonderful colleague and more importantly a friend. She was clearly extremely well liked and respected by a huge number of people. And I know from personal experience of working directly with her over the last couple of years how much of a lovely, special person she was. My heart goes out to Charles and her family.

Louise was one of the first people to speak to me on my first paddle with LSKC. She was always friendly and encouraging and she convinced me to try Grade B paddles. Her enthusiasm for kayaking and life was infectious. I will miss her on future paddles and my heartfelt sympathy goes out to Charles and her family.
