Roy George Sheppard (13 Mar 1931 - 7 Apr 2018)
In loving memory of Roy George Sheppard who sadly passed away on 7th April 2018
It's with sadness that we have to share that our father Roy Sheppard died today in St.Andrews Hospice Grimsby
Dad has for a while and since an aneurysm operation struggled with his mobility & health. This resulted in Dad going into Fir Close residential care, Louth a year ago and recently Grimsby Hospital, St.Andrews Hospice
Dad was an active person who loved his sport, family and wife Wendy. He enjoyed success as a professional football referee, being an official at Wembley in 1974, Arsenal Football Clubs Official Referee for a number of years. As well as being and enjoying a career in print working at Waterlows Dunstable as production Manager for many years. Retiring in 1996 from GPGs/Linpac in Dunstable where they lived until about 15 years ago.
Dad had a dream of owning a lovely detached bungalow in the Country. This was achieved with a move to the Village of North Somercotes, Lincolnshire where they bought that lovely detached bungalow facing farmland in the Country being close to the coast. Dad enjoyed taking his loved dog 'Toby for many walks on the Coast & beautiful Countryside.
