In loving memory of Louie Lawson who sadly passed away on 27th March 2018.

It is with great sadness we have to say goodbye to Louie. A wonderful mum, granny and friend to many, we will all miss her dry wit and sense of humour, her gentle nature and compassion for others.

Following suffering a severe stroke in December 2016, Louie spent the last period of her life living with daughter Rosemarie and her husband Tony, in a purpose-built 'suite' within their home.

Louie's wish was that rather than buying flowers, if anyone wanted to they could donate to Cancer Research, either via this page or directly to the charity.

Please take a moment to leave a comment in the memories book, you can even upload photos if you wish.

Louie, I am so sorry your immediate family caused you so much pain. I told you the truth about why they would not let us see each other, and you cried. I carried out your wishes, that you made me promise to do. Sadly, because of this they hurt you beyond anyone, let alone their mum deserved. I will never forget you, after all these years, it still hurts me what they did to you. may you forgive them, because I cannot.

I first got to know Louie when I traced Harry (my dads brother) through my family research, we became great friends and after Harry passed away we enjoyed many trips out together, I will miss her so much but know that she is now with Harry, rest in peace

John & Kate Lawson donated £50 in memory of Louie

Both Kate and I loved Louie very much and were saddened to hear of her passing after a long struggle with illness. She was a wonderful wife to my Dad for 25 years and they were so happy together before he sadly died in 2011. We will both miss Louie's love, kindness, compassion and generosity.
As Christians we believe that Louie and Harry are now reunited, happy and pain free.

How I wish I had researched dad's family tree earlier, making contact with dad's brother Harry and yourself was an absolute joy, to lose Harry so soon after making contact was heart breaking, but afterwards we became such good friends and shared many a lunch and outing together, I will miss you so much, rest in peace.

Louie, meeting you and Harry just a few years ago was a truly memorable experience. To finally meet a part of Dads family after so long. It was a pleasure to have known you and Harry albeit for far too shorter time. Rest In Peace.

It is with great sadness that myself and my brothers Mike and Roger have heard the sad news of Louie’s death.
My mum and Dad (Edith and Denis) were long standing neighbours of Harry and Louie and were friends for many years.
When my dad passed away 9 years ago Louie became a wonderful source of support for my mum and helped her recover from many a crisis that could have been life threatening.
We will always be grateful to Louie keeping an eye on mum when we were unable to

Mike, Roger, myself and our families would like to pass on our hearfelt condolences to you Rosemarie and your family

Best wishes

Richard Cox
