James Cownie (7 May 1925 - 24 Mar 2018)

My earliest memories are of Uncle Jim, are the family Christmas’s at Ivy House.
I know he had a long & active life, much of which will be told by others. So I will recount some of my personal ones.
After he retired along with Aunty Betty, he moved to Farrrows Row Ingham. He joined the Carholme Golf Club. I had many an enjoyable round with him there.
Many more golf days were to follow. The team matchs playing for the Black Horse will long be remembered. He certainly enjoyed life, playing various sports . He was always the life & soul of the parties afterwards. But of course behind every good man there is a greater women. Well done Aunty Betty. R. I . P. James.
