Mate I miss you each and every day. You randomly pop into my thoughts usually when I least expect it and when I'm at work taking the mickey out of someone. Your sense of humour, your classic one liners and your passion for music I still miss. But I miss you just being you the funny gentle kind and caring best friend that I have ever had. How can such a great character, a great person, a great friend and yes alright a great fisherman, how can you simply be gone. There are many of us struggling still trying to get through each day without you. I simply miss and love you Staggie forever xx

  • Steve Stag was my closest friend around 1979/1980. We worked together and almost shared a flat together. We drifted apart over the years and I have often searched in an attempt to find him on social media. I always hoped we might meet up one day. I can’t tell you how shattered I was to read his obituary. He was the best of friends... Tedsmith574@gmail.com

The Wandle, Willinghurst and Send will never see the likes of your unique fishing techniques again. When I say techniques I'm talking about the shopping trolley you used as a fishing trolley, the Argos BOGOF fishing rods and the free floats that came with Angling Mail.

Steve I can't tell you just how much I miss you and your silly jokes, your even sillier one liners. Or those fishing tales you told so well. Oh how I wish I could have you back but I know you are in a better place now and your soul is mended and your happy and free from pain and life's stresses and strains. I love you oh so much my big brother, my best friend and the other half of what made me a sister. xx
