In loving memory of Nigel Timothy who passed away 12th March 2018.
Following his cancer diagnosis in 2015 Nigel was determined to make sure the time he had would not be wasted. Together with his wife Lynn and daughter Cerys, he set out to do just that. Many of you will remember the annoying posts on Facebook as they undertook their "25 treats for 25 years". They celebrated their Silver wedding in style at Hever Castle in 2016 and had wonderful family holidays in Florida, Dubai and Cyprus and an extra special one with friends in South Africa.
Nigel was a keen cyclist and triathlete and kept up his cycling training during his cancer treatment so he could complete the London to Paris bike ride for a second time with other members of The Green Army fundraising group, with whom he'd previously cycled from Venice to Rome. He spent many Sunday mornings cycling the roads around home, to Windsor and Richmond Park and countless rides up and down Box Hill, sometimes just for the sheer fun of it.
Nigel enjoyed fine wines, whisky, cheese and......Jaffa cakes, a packet of which could be consumed in one sitting with no effort at all.
On behalf of his wife Lynn and daughter Cerys, his parents Ann and Mike and his sister Linda, thank you for all your cards and good wishes.

My thoughts are with you and the family at the moment. I met Nigel when we were in the same ward at Royal Surrey and I liked and admired him for his upbeat spirit both prior to and following his surgery. He was an inspiration to all of us in that ward. God bless you Nigel.

Wonderful day in Rome
The Green Army - London to Paris 2017. It was always a pleasure to ride with Nigel but this trip will live with me forever. He was a true inspiration to everyone involved and I will never forget the bear hug I received as we made it to Paris. RIP
