Denis Guilfoyle (5 Dec 1927 - 18 Feb 2018)

In loving memory of Denis Guilfoyle who sadly passed away on 18th February 2018, aged 90 years.
Dad was a lovely gentle Irish man who had a wonderful sense of humour. He would sit and roar with laughter at comedy films especially Laurel and Hardy and loved On The Buses films basically anything that made him laugh.
Dad loved watching football horse racing and in earlier years wrestling they all used to be on tv on a Saturday afternoon. He was a good darts player and played in a team for the local pub. He used to grow vegetables in the garden when he was younger and being the Irish man he was he always grew potatoes and cabbage amongst others and ate them for most of his life. He never forgot his Irish roots and in his later years having alzheimers he still thought he lived there we used to go along with it and if it made him happy to think he was still there that was the least we could do for him. Our only blessing is that he is back with our mum Doreen.
