In loving memory of James Colston Crawford (Jim) who passed away peacefully on 2nd March 2018, aged 91 years.

Dad passed away peacefully at Briar Close House, Borrowash, on Friday, March 2, aged 91. He is at peace after years of illness and reunited now with his wife and soulmate Betty, who died seven years ago. With our help, he maintained his independence for all but the last week and a half of his life.
He was the father of Colston and Stuart, father in law of Pamela, grandad to Sharon, Molly, Michael, Emily and Stuart and great grandad to Riley and Sadie.
The funeral will be on Wednesday, March 28, at the small chapel, Markeaton Crematorium, Derby, at 11am. Family flowers only, please, and donations, if desired, to Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance. Dad never required this charity but he always spoke of his admiration for it and made donations to it, hence our choice on his behalf.

  • Dad in his Army days. Note the Cross Keys insignia on the shoulder. He told us they put their own pub together out of bits and bobs in India and called it the Cross Keys.

  • The garden at Manor Road restored to some glory after I had left home and stopped wrecking it with incessant solo games of football and cricket.
