My thoughts are with Jean, Martyn and Amy

Steve (Stan) was a football and golfing buddy of mine for the last 20 years. Golf wasn't a sport that came naturally to Stan but he was a very keen player who continued to improve the more we played and we had so much fun. Terry , Stan and I played so many different courses together once or twice a week over the years and spent weekends away in Devon , Cornwall and South Wales testing ourselves on some really good courses. The 'apres golf' in the various bars around Sutton provided an enjoyable opportunity to relax from the stresses of the game and put the world to rights. Happy days which I look back on fondly.

Thanks for all your brilliant defending during my playing years Stan, you will be greatly missed if I make a come back!

Stan you were a wonderful guy, great fun and a great footballer. I enjoyed immensely our battles on the pitch.....always fair and firm and fun.
The referee blew the whistle way too early on your life.
You will be missed. André

RIP dear friend , I will miss playing football with you & our weekly drinks in The Station pub ! Saturday nights will never be the same again !!

In mememory of our six a side legend

A gentle giant of a man with that lovely “wrye smile”.
Many happy moments shared.
Not so long we gathered at the wake of Martins funeral.
Now for Stan!!
So very very sad for family, friends and colleagues.
We will miss you, but rest assured we will always treasure the memories of times we spent together.
God bless you and one day we will have a rematch behind those pearly gates.
