In loving memory of Audrey May Roberts who sadly passed away on 5th March 2018.
Audrey was born at her parents home in Ffrith, Flintshire back in 1930. After attending school, she decided to embark on a career as a teacher and went to teacher training college at Stoke Rochford Hall, Grantham, Lincolnshire. She soon met Ernest Roberts and were married in 1954. They initially lived at Easton before moving to Ravenglass, Cumbria where their son, Andrew, was born. In 1964, they moved back to Great Ponton while the home that would remain theirs for the next 50+ years was built in Boothby Pagnell.
Audrey taught in Grantham for almost of all of her career, firstly at Alma Park Junior School and subsequently the National Cof E Junior School, looking after 7 years olds.
After retirement, Audrey had an active life for many years pursuing her interest in bobbin lace making, travelling extensively and enjoying social life at Boothby with Ernest. She was a regular churchgoer while services were being held at Boothby.
Audrey will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
