In loving memory of Julia Elizabeth Teather who sadly passed away on 18th February 2018
Born Julia Elizabeth Jerome to parents Elizabeth and Daniel on 27th September 1924 one if eight children , three brothers and four sisters. The family lived at dockhead Bermondsey and Julie attended St Joseph’s Roman Catholic school George Row Dockhead. She left school at 14 and had various factory jobs .Julies Dad died when the children were young so it was the girls job to look after the younger siblings.she survived the London bombings during world war 2 and joined the land army which she enjoyed and found her love of the country.towards the end of the war she met Albert Teather in a local pub and on 13th October 1945 they married ,in1947 daughter Jaqueline came along followed by daughter Jennifer in 1949 The family moved to Kidbrooke in1952 and life was good. They enjoyed holidays and socialising with friends and family. Along came 5grandchilren and Julie and Bert were hands on grandparents And then ten great grandchildren. Sadly Bert passed away in 2014 and life for Julie lost some of its lustre. She still enjoyed trips out to the bingo ,shopping and holidays with her girls. Although her health wasn’t great it was in 2017 that it deteriorated and after moving into the countryside which she loved she passed away on the 18th February 2018.
