In loving memory of Leonard John Gainsbury who sadly passed away on 22nd February 2018.
Len became ill with cancer in 2013, in 2014 he became cancer free. Sadly we were told he had Alzheimer's and became very ill before passing away.
Sadly due to the Alzheimer's disease, by the summer of 2017 Len was unable to look after himself and therefore, after a difficult decision and with the help of the Alzheimer's society, Len was placed in the care of the Bupa St Georges Nursing Home. The staff in the home kindly looked after him with great care during his time spent at the home and in Len's final days.
The Family would like to thank all of the staff at St Georges Care Home.
Len was born in Fulham, London and went to school locally, Len met his wife Carole on her 16th Birthday. They were married 4 years later, they had two children, Michaela and Wayne. Michaela who is married to Paul and Wayne who is married to Jill with two lovely granddaughters, Anja and Nadine, Len was a loving husband and caring father and loved his grandchildren dearly. Len's hobbies were walking his dogs, gardening, tending to his fish pond, playing his music, having a couple of beers with his friends and Len also enjoyed sunning himself on his many holidays.
The funeral has been arranged for Wednesday the 7th of March 2018, at
