You were rarely understood by those closest to you. A much deeper person than at first glance. Happy to share in his love of fifties music. Loved his wife and children no matter what.
Michael Hamilton (6 Aug 1947 - 30 Jan 2018)
In loving memory of Michael Hamilton who sadly passed away on 30th January 2018
Mick was a wholehearted fan of the 1950’s and it’s music. He still used the old money and measurements in his everyday life; dressing like
A Teddy Boy (second generation) whenever he needed to look smart.
Before I met him and for some years afterward, he was a wreck fisherman (with his father) and won several awards at his fishing club in Sandgate near Folkestone.
He worked as a council gardener until just before we got married and then transferred to caretaking so that we would have a flat of our own.
For anyone who can’t make the funeral, he is dressed in his Teddy Boy clothes, with a DA and quiff, will have a phonograph needle in his hand and a rock’n’roll record at his feet, so that he can ‘rock his way right out of this land’. Ronnie Dawson ‘Rocking Bones,
He leaves a wife and two children, who miss him already.
He is on his way to meet up with all his favourite r’n’roll stars that have gone on before. Rock on Mick.
