To Dad

Today will be the hardest day,
Three weeks have gone since you passed away,
A hundred laughs, a thousand cries,
Today's the day we say goodbye,
Another tear, it fills my eyes,
I ask Why oh why Dad did you die.
I love you dad, I miss you so,
It was too soon for you to go,
But not just me, the others you knew,
Could tell a tale, a joke, or two,
Of happy times and memories blessed,
'Cos as our Dad you were the best.
Words of knowledge, wisdom and wit,
Life without you seems quite ----
But send a signal, symbol or sign,
To let us know you're doing fine,
And now its time to let you go,
Never forgotten Dad, we love you so x
