Margaret Bedford (21 May 1932 - 6 Feb 2018)

In loving memory of Margaret Bedford who sadly passed away on Tuesday 6th February 2018.

Margaret was born in East Ham, then moved to Romford. She went to Brentwood Girls's High School and then worked at the Bank of England.

She married Douglas in 1956 and they had 2 children. They moved to Chelmsford in 1966. There Margaret became involved in community life, volunteering in the school library at Mildmay Junior School before becoming a Midday Dinner Assistant. Later she worked in the school office before she helped in the Hearing Unit as a Teaching Assistant. There she enjoyed working as part of a closely knit team.

She was also a member of St Michael' Church Galleywood and a member of Tile Kiln Women's Insitute.

Margaret was an excellent cook, enjoyed flower arranging, loved her job with children and had a great sense of fun.
In 2013 she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease and the following year reluctantly moved up to Derby to be near her daughter.
