In loving memory of Dorothy Crocker who sadly passed away on 6th February 2018.
Living most of her life in the Southbourne area, Dorothy met Eric and they were married in 1948. They had both served in the Royal Air Force and were active members of the All Saints Church congregation. Dorothy was also an active member of the Mothers Union.
They welcomed Suzanne into the world in 1954, and in later years welcomed three Grand Daughters and two Great Grand Daughters.
Dorothy was a long standing member of the Girl Guiding association with memorable trips in the UK and Switzerland making life long friendships.
Nannie Crock, as she was known in the family, will be sadly missed by Suzanne, Steve and all the family

Dorothy will be dearly missed. I met her in September 1987 at Our Chalet in Adelboden, Switzerland. I was a young American Girl Scout touring Europe by myself while she was a seasoned Girl Guider from Bournemouth traveling with other Girl Guiders from Dorset and Devon counties. We formed a friendship that lasted over 30 years. She was spunky and full of life and mischief ... a true joy to know. I am glad I made the trip back to England in June 2014 with my husband and son, so they could meet her, as well as our friend, Brenda. Over afternoon tea, we shared memories and had a wonderful visit. Forever Girl Guides/Scouts ... Forever friends. Cheerio! until we meet again ...

I remember Dorothy or as Dot as she was known then, as a fun loving, cheeky and well loved Brownie Guider. A trip to Our Chalet in 1987 was so memorable, as she made so many friends from Japan to the USA. With my husband Pat we visited her and Eric many times and later to just her. We were always made welcome. She loved people and drew many to her with her happy smiling face and mischievous chuckles. She sang with the Trefoil choir lead by Peggy Matthews for some years. I have many photos of the trips and a good one of her with the choir.

Rest in peace Dorothy. You have earned your rest. God Bless you.
