Brian was such a thoughtful and sweet man. I only knew him on twitter. He always welcomed me into Dark Shadows tags with other fans of the show. Would also send me Lord of the rings pictures because he knew it was my favorite. I will miss him. I didnt have to really know him to know that he was a great person and a wonderful man! Hes in a better place and will be missed by all! Goodbye Brian (@theshirerose)

It still hasn't sunk in that the lovely man so many of us knew via Twitter has gone. Brian tweeted a group of us most days to wish us well and make us smile. He loved nothing better than to chat about old movies and his family. In fact during our last conversation he sent a photo of his beautiful Mandi and daughter. A proud family man and a wonderful friend whom we will miss dearly. My condolences to Mandi and all Brian's family and friends xx

Truly saddened to learn we have lost Brian. He was 1 of my 1st Twitter friends. I was recovering from chemo & he was still on crutches. He would send Steptoe & Son links to make me laugh. I loved getting his daily greetings. He will be missed.

I knew Brian through Twitter (@truimage4u). Such a kind and thoughtful person. Always thinking of me and sending me a tweet once or twice a week asking how I'm doing. He was a fan of so many things (Dark Shadows and Doctor Who among them). I will miss him. My condolences to his wife, Mandi, and their family.

I was completed shocked and saddened today to hear of Brian's passing. I knew him through Twitter (@darkdemonheart) and he was one of the most kind, caring, genuine people on there. He will be deeply missed by myself and many others. He always tweeted groups of us to say good morning, to wish us a great weekend, share things he'd bought and was watching on tv, and places he was going with Mandi. My love goes to Mandi and his family, thoughts are with you all at this very very sad time. Sleep well B xxx
