God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So, he put his arms around you
And whispered “Come to me”

With tearful eyes we watched you
And saw you pass away
And although we love you dearly
We could not make to stay

A golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands at rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best

We have so many fond memories of you Nan, none of which, will ever fade and we will be eternally grateful for what you did for us when we were younger. You looked after us as though we were your own and provided us with a stable home when we needed it most. If it wasn’t for you, we would have been put into care and our lives probably would have mapped out very differently and we wouldn’t be where we are today and for that, we owe you our lives.

You were a wonderful wife, mum, nan, great nan and friend and everybody who was privileged enough to have known you and have you in their lives, would agree that you were a beautiful person, so caring and loving, with a heart made of pure gold. You didn’t have a bad bone in your body and would do anything for anyone, with never a bad word to say.

You didn’t deserve to suffer the way that you did and although it was difficult to say goodbye, we are glad that you are no longer in pain and find comfort in the knowledge that you have been reunited with our lovely Grandad.

Sleep tight our lovely Nan, you really were our sunshine, we love you so much and you will always be in our hearts and in our thoughts.

Lots of Love

Lindsay and Lisa
