In loving memory of John Jackson who sadly passed away on 20th January 2018.
He was the 5th of 10 children born to Emily and Harold Jackson at Thimbleby.
In his early working life he worked with his father on the farm where he especially enjoyed working with the cows. He had a particular favourite in the bull Harry, who he has told many about. He worked as a farm labourer for John Hoyes at Stixwould and also drove the lorries during the sugar beet season.
He had his own small business of home maintenance a well as repairing cars in his spare time.
He lived and worked near Horncastle all his life, retiring to Stixwould in his later years. He spent the last 3 years at Neale Court in North Hykeham where he was looked after well and had many happy times.
He will always be remembered by his family as a happy easy going man, who was kind and respectful to all. He will be sadly missed.
Johns funeral will be at Lincoln crematorium on 23rd February at 2.30pm with a reception at Washingborough golf club after. There will be family flowers only but donations are welcome to Dementia UK and also the British Lung Foundation
