I didn’t know Mavis for long. She was always a great support. I’m really sorry I’ve only recently learned she is no longer with us.

Rest in peace mavis thankyou for being you and opening your arms to me and my sisters when we were young. I will never forget your legendry roast lamb dinners and the secret stuffing. You always welcomed us with a smile and a loving embrace now its time to rest and be at peace. I will charge my glass with a large gin and reminisce the good times we had together at west bridgford, love sprocket xx

You became my other mother the day I wed your son, And I just want to thankyou,Mom for the lovely things you’ve done. You raised in love the gracious man with whom I share my life. You were his lovely mother and I’m his lucky wife. During your journey on your final flight home, white wings will carry you and you will be flown,to the pearly gates of Heaven where they will usher you in,to the feet of your lord, your saviour, and your friend. He will hold you in his arms and the angels will sing.
You will be in my heart forever xxx

Do not stand by me and weep,
I am not here I do not sleep,
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sun light on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the mornings hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush,
Of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night,
Do not stand by me and cry,
I am not here, I did not die.

Gran
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you and whispered ‘come with me’
With tearful eye he watched you and saw you pass away, and although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stoped beating hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us that he only takes the best.
Sleep tight gran love Mark, Helen, James, Amelia and Freya xxxxx

We had a wonderful grandmother,
One who never really grew old;
Her smile was made of sunshine,
And her heart was solid gold;
Her eyes were as bright as shining stars,
And in her cheeks fair roses you see.
We had a wonderful grandmother,
And that’ s the way it will always be.
But take heed, because
She’s still keeping an eye on all of us,
So let’s make sure
She will like what she sees.

“If roses grow in heaven Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Mother’s arms and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her that I lover her and miss her, and when she turns to smile, place a kisss upon her cheek and hold her for a while.
Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day, but there’s an ache within my heart that will NEVER go away.
I LOVE U MUM XXXXXX
