In loving memory of Jacqueline Ann Wells who passed away at the Princess Alice Hospice on 31st December 2017, aged 74 Years.
She was a much loved Wife, Mum and Nan, who will be sadly missed by her husband Ken, Son David, Daughter Michelle, Son-in-Law Richard, Daughter-in-Law Sarah, Grandson's Daniel & Addison, and all her family and friends.

Jacqueline Ann Moon was born on the 2nd June 1943 in the house in New Haw where she lived all her life. She was the beloved daughter of Leonard & Marjorie Moon. Jackie attended West Byfleet and Fullbroook Schools.
In 1958, aged 15, she went to work at Vickers Armstrong in West Hall, then moved to the main works in the mould loft and then to T307 at Brooklands where she was a punchcard operator.

She left at age 25 to have her son David. Whilst being a stay at home mum she worked part-time at the local schools cleaning. When Jackie got together with Ken she was once again happy and they had a Daughter Michelle. They got married at Woking Registry Office 7th March 1981. Jackie continued to work at the schools and became a midday Supervisor at West Byfleet School where she stayed for many years. Many years later she took a job at St Peters Convent, Maybury as Head Housekeeper. She stayed here until she retired.

After retirement Jackie and Ken made the most of their leisure time visiting David and Sarah in Seattle and various other holidays abroad. For all their working life they had holidays in Brixham, Devon which became a family tradition. For their 30th Wedding Anniversary they took a cruise to New York on the Queen Mary 2.

Jackie celebrated the Wedding of Michelle and Richard on 31st May 2003 in Shepperton and David and Sarah on 26th August 2006 in Seattle . Family meant everything to her and on the 4th January 2006 her first Grandson, Daniel was born to Michelle and Richard and on 12th March 2014 Jackie's second Grandson, Addison was born to David and Sarah.

Jackie loved to go out socially with her friends and family and enjoyed a social drink too, In her younger years Jackie was a fan of Tommy Steele. In her later years she went to several Take That concerts, firstly with Michelle and then later on with Michelle, Richard and Daniel. She enjoyed spending time at theme parks as the children grew up, and even in later years with Michelle, Richard, Daniel and Pam Daniel's other Nan. A particular favourite of hers was the Vampire hanging rollercoaster. When Michelle was younger she sent her to dance classes and decided to take part in adult tap classes herself . She even took part in a dance show.

Jackie lived life to the full and had fun. We all have many fond memories of her and we look forward to hearing many more stories and sharing memories of Jackie from those who knew and were touched by her throughout her life.

Jackie spent her last weeks in the amazing care of the team at The Princess Alice Hospice. We would like everyone to support the fantastic work they do there not only for us the family, but for Jackie, nothing was ever too much for them. They were and still are a great support to us and we are forever thankful for the superb care and dignity they showed Jackie in her final weeks. She even shared a glass of Prosecco with us on Christmas Day. We respectfully ask that instead of flowers a donation is given to the Princess Alice Hospice to hep them continue the amazing work they do for families like ours. They do not get any government funding so rely on charitable donations to keep the hospice in operation. Please give what you can, no matter how small as every penny counts. Thank you.

After the service at Woking Crematorium we will be heading to the Mayford Arms Pub, Westfield Road, Woking, GU22 9QT for a Celebration of Life and some food and drink. We will have a memory book at the pub and we ask that you share your stories and memories of Jackie in here.

Please feel free to add photos you may have on this page.

Although it is a funeral do not feel obliged to wear black, we will not be. Jackie would want everyone to be happy in what they wear whatever the colour. We would like this to be a celebration of her life.
